Description
The suit in this option is created using Premium Wool
At Shane Ave we use Super S100, S110, S120 in our Premium Range.
Premium Wool is great for everyday wear.
The S number on suit fabrics represents the number of times the wool has been twisted. As a general rule of thumb is the higher the number, the finer the cloth will be:
- The higher Super S count often means a smoother texture and can appear more luxurious.
- Lower S number fabrics ie: S100 the cloth will have a coarser texture and is generally heavier and warmer.
What is the difference between Super S100, S110 and S120 Wool?
They all use worsted medium weight wool yarn which is manufactured through a process that separates the long strong fibres from a bundle of wool and spins/twists them into the yarn used to make suiting material.
The S number on suit fabrics represents the number of times the wool has been twisted. As a general rule of thumb is the higher the number, the finer the cloth will be.
The S-number also indicates the thickness of the fibre as defined in the IWTO Super S Code of Practice. Each S-number correlates to a maximum fibre diameter measured in micrometers.
N.B. Fiber diameters are measured from the finished, dyed fabric.
